The Fifth Avenue lowhead dam was a significant factor in poor water quality on the southern segment of the Olentangy River. Removal of the dam and restoration of the river banks promises great improvements in the river’s ability to filter pollutants and provide habitat. These signs were created to be placed on pedestrian bridges to explain the process and benefits of the project.
